Product Manager – Payments
In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping Treatwell’s Core payments systems — making sure money flows in and out of the business smoothly, accurately, and on time. From how partners pay us, to how we pay them, you’ll build simple, reliable, and compliant solutions that support the everyday financial operations of our platform. As the Product Manager for Core Finance, your focus will be on delivering a seamless, efficient, and partner-friendly payment experience. This includes everything from billing, invoicing, and subscriptions to commissions and chargebacks. You’ll also play a key role in keeping our platform compliant with regulations like DAC7 and PSD2 (and upcoming PSD3), while reducing manual work through smart automation.
This role is central to the success of teams across both our SaaS and Marketplace businesses. By managing and improving our financial infrastructure, you’ll help enable faster product delivery, unlock new commercial opportunities, and support a better experience for our salon partners and internal teams alike.
You will be responsible for:
- Defining a clear and customer-focused roadmap for Treatwell’s Core Payments area.
- Owning the end-to-end money flow — from collecting payments from partners to paying them out — ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations such as KYC, DAC7, PSD2, and PSD3, while supporting fraud checks and risk management.
- Supporting the evolution of our partner subscription model, supporting tailored pricing for different partner needs.
- Overseeing critical financial processes like billing, invoicing, commission calculations, and partner chargebacks — continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency.
- Collaborating closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure reliable reporting and smooth reconciliation.
- Acting as a trusted partner to cross-functional teams across SaaS and Marketplace, ensuring payment systems support their goals and unlock business value.
- Communicating clearly with stakeholders about priorities, trade-offs, and progress, keeping everyone aligned and informed.
About you:
- You have solid experience as a Product Manager, ideally in payments, fintech, but also SaaS or Marketplace environments.
- Skilled in data analysis, with the ability to translate insights into scalable solutions that improve customer experience.
- Confident working on financial systems like billing, invoicing, payments, and subscriptions — and making them simple for users.
- Familiar with platforms like Stripe, Adyen, or GoCardless, and understand the challenges of building around them.
- Comfortable with compliance topics such as KYC and DAC7, and experienced in collaborating with legal and finance teams.
- You enjoy solving operational challenges through AI, automation and efficient processes.
- A clear communicator who brings cross-functional teams together to tackle complex problems.
- Collaborative, proactive, and energized by dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Results-driven, with a proven ability to deliver impactful changes in fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented and always looking to improve the systems you own.
