We seek a passionate and collaborative Mid-Level Product Designer to join our consumer design team. Treatwell's consumer team focuses on the Marketplace where Customers connect with Salons to explore and book treatments predominantly through our iOS and Android apps.
In this role you will have the opportunity to solve problems through design while thinking holistically across Treatwell's user journeys and platforms. You will contribute to the entire design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and implementation. You will work collaboratively with the consumer design lead, product managers, and engineers in an internationally distributed team. Most importantly, we seek someone who is a self-starter, organised, ambitious and enthusiastic about developing their skills further.
You will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with other designers, user researchers, product managers, and engineers to plan, design, build and evolve our products.
- Influencing strategy for a product area by articulating a coherent UX vision based on clear, actionable problem/opportunity statements.
- Advocating for the user and crafting UX solutions that meet critical business objectives.
- Working on a range of projects on different platforms.
- Helping facilitate idea generation with stakeholders.
- Designing with scalability in mind and actively contributing to our design system.
- Creating simple, intuitive experiences in a space with complex rules and workflows.
- Consistently creating clear and compelling materials and narratives explaining design rationale to team and stakeholders using customer, business or competitive insights.
- Actively seeking diverse feedback on your work and anticipating feedback to address it proactively.
About you:
- Detail-oriented and passionate about the craft.
- Proven experience designing B2C and/or e-commerce digital products.
- 4+ years as a Product or UX Designer (or equivalent experience) with robust case studies that showcase deep interaction and problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating and using design systems.
- Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Excellent understanding of design principles.
- An ego-free attitude that welcomes candid feedback.
- A willingness to fail and learn and to go beyond good enough.
