About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and creatively driven Product Designer to join Treats Studios and Treats Kids. This is a unique opportunity to become the sole designer across two fast-growing brands, owning the product development process from initial concept through to production. You’ll play a pivotal role in bringing collections to life, balancing creativity with exceptional organisation and technical accuracy. You’ll work closely with the founders, suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring products are not only beautifully designed but delivered on time and to the highest standard. This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves owning projects from start to finish, and has excellent technical knowledge alongside a strong creative eye.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Design & Development
- Develop new products across Treats Studios and Treats Kids.
- Create commercially strong, trend-aware collections aligned with each brand’s identity.
- Produce detailed CADs, technical drawings and specification packs for factories.
- Create accurate and comprehensive tech packs ready for sampling and production.
- Amend products following fit sessions, supplier feedback and development reviews.
- Support colour, material and trim selection throughout development.
- Graphics & Creative
- Create original graphics, prints, embroidery artwork and placement designs.
- Produce artwork suitable for both apparel and accessories.
- Prepare production-ready Illustrator files for manufacturers.
- Support branding and packaging artwork where required.
- Maintain consistency across all product graphics and visual assets.
- Product Development
- Manage products through the full development lifecycle.
- Liaise directly with suppliers regarding samples, amendments and approvals.
- Review prototypes and communicate clear development feedback.
- Ensure all product specifications remain accurate throughout development.
- Technical & Systems
- Maintain organised fabric, trim and colour libraries.
- Build and maintain material, component and supplier databases.
- Ensure all product information is accurately stored and version controlled.
- Keep digital design files organised and accessible.
- Critical Path Management
- Own and maintain the product development critical path.
- Track all collections from concept through to production.
- Ensure deadlines are communicated and achieved.
- Flag potential delays early and proactively find solutions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to keep developments moving efficiently.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with the founders on seasonal direction and product strategy.
- Attend product review meetings and present developments.
- Build strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Support wider business projects where required.
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys taking ownership and can confidently manage multiple projects independently. You’ll have:
- 3+ years' experience in a similar Product Designer role within the fashion industry.
- Strong Adobe Photoshop knowledge.
- Experience producing professional CADs and technical drawings.
- Previous experience creating detailed tech packs for manufacturers.
- Strong graphic design ability with an eye for typography, layout and branding.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and product development.
- Experience working directly with factories.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- Confidence working independently as the sole designer.
