We’re hiring a Practice Manager / Registered Manager to lead operations for a fast-growing, specialist telehealth clinic in the medical cannabis space. This is a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of operations, compliance, and patient experience - ensuring safe, compliant prescribing of Schedule 2 controlled drugs while delivering a seamless, high-quality patient journey.
The opportunity
You’ll take ownership of the clinic’s non-clinical operations end-to-end, acting as the CQC Registered Manager and ensuring the service is safe, scalable, and audit-ready. Working closely with clinical, commercial, and pharmacy partners, you’ll play a key role in shaping how care is delivered in a highly regulated, evolving sector.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Act as CQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance across all regulatory standards
- Oversee day-to-day operations (patient services, bookings, scheduling, workflows)
- Lead and develop a high-performing patient support team
- Design and optimise the end-to-end patient journey (enquiry > consultation > prescription > repeat)
- Own non-clinical governance, risk, safeguarding, and audit readiness
- Coordinate across clinicians, MDT processes, and pharmacy partners to ensure smooth delivery
- Monitor and improve operational performance (conversion rates, turnaround times, CSAT/NPS, repeat prescriptions)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability across systems and workflows
What success looks like (6–12 months)
- A fully compliant, inspection-ready prescribing pathway
- Reduced time from consultation to prescription
- Improved conversion, retention, and patient satisfaction
- A confident, well-trained patient services team
- Strong, reliable pharmacy and supply chain relationships
What you’ll bring
- Experience as a CQC Registered Manager (or eligibility to register)
- Strong understanding of UK healthcare regulation and controlled drug governance
- Experience leading patient services or operational teams within healthcare
- Background in telehealth, digital health, or private healthcare environments
- Proven ability to manage and optimise complex, multi-step patient pathways
- A data-led mindset with a focus on performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Nice to have
- Experience in medical cannabis or other controlled drug settings (e.g. pain, psychiatry, addiction)
- Familiarity with MDT models, prescribing workflows, and pharmacy coordination
- Experience supporting or scaling a high-growth, regulated healthcare business
If you're ready to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you!
