TreasurySpring is the product of an obsession with fixing the fundamental structural problems in money markets. Our fascination with the sector began painfully, during the Global Financial Crisis of 2008, where we had a front-row seat to watch the evaporation of liquidity in fixed income and the near collapse of the entire short-dated funding markets. We have been on a mission to help deliver more sustainable solutions for the money markets ever since, and we launched TreasurySpring in 2018 to offer institutional clients a single gateway to the broadest range of the best riskâadjusted cash investment options. As a fastâgrowing Londonâbased financial technology company, we deliver a unique solution to a global multiâtrillionâdollar problem, delivered globally from our offices in London and New York. Our regulated FixedâTerm Fund platform delivers new digital pipelines to connect cashârich firms to institutional borrowers. Clients include large Private Equity funds, Asset Managers, listed Corporates, highâgrowth tech companies and many more.
We are seeking an experienced operational professional to join us on a 6âmonth maternity cover. This role combines interim oversight of our Operations function with a focused review of our operational controls and processes. You will support the dayâtoâday management of our Financial Operations (team of 5) and Onboarding (team of 4) teams, acting as a first point of escalation for operational matters. In parallel, you will assess product lifecycle workflows to identify control gaps, operational vulnerabilities, and opportunities to strengthen processes as we continue to grow. This is a handsâon role requiring sound judgement, a pragmatic approach to risk, and the ability to operate confidently within a live operational environment.
What we're looking for:
- 10+ years' experience within a bank, asset manager, or institutional financial services environment, with a background in operational risk, markets business management, or postâtrade/settlements roles.
- Handsâon exposure to trade lifecycle processes (confirmations, matching, settlements, payment flows) and understanding of where operational risk can arise.
- Pragmatic and solutionsâoriented â able to identify control gaps and implement workable improvements.
- Experience managing operational teams and acting as a point of escalation.
- Exposure to TRS, repo, or secured financing products is desirable but not essential.
What you'll do:
- Conduct a structured review of operational processes across key areas, identifying control gaps, operational risk exposures, and process inefficiencies.
- Design and implement pragmatic improvements to strengthen controls and reduce reliance on individual knowledge.
- Document and tighten operational workflows where vulnerabilities are identified.
- Deliver clear, structured findings and prioritised action plans.
- Act as a first point of escalation for operational queries and exceptions.
- Support the triage of operational matters, ensuring issues are directed to the appropriate teams and progressed to resolution.
- Facilitate clear escalation pathways where input is required from Capital Markets, Legal, Finance or Technology.
- Exercise sound judgement on outâofâprocess situations, escalating appropriately where required.
- Coordinate operational project work and help ensure continuity of delivery.
This is an autonomous role requiring sound judgement, structured thinking, and the ability to operate calmly and decisively within a live operational environment.
What we offer:
- Competitive salary
- Equity and quarterly bonus scheme
- Unlimited paid leave
- Hybrid officeâworking model
- Enhanced parental leave and pay
- Workplace Pension
- Complete Bupa HealthCare Cover
- Life Insurance
- Income Protection Insurance
- Access to Yulife (Employee Assistance Programme)
- Remote Office setâup budget
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- A fun and dynamic working environment with regular teamâbuilding activities and events
