This role leads the in-region R2R operations within a global shared services framework, ensuring accurate and timely financial close, supported by an offshore delivery team. It provides oversight and governance of audits, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements for multiple legal entities, while driving process efficiency and continuous improvement across onshore and offshore activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes are operating effectively in the region.
- Validating the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, governance requirements, and reporting.
- Performing regular balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy and proper classification of account balances.
- Identifying, escalating, and supporting mitigation of financial risks related to the balance sheet.
- Ensuring global accounting policies across entities are consistently applied and adhered to.
- Partnering with regional finance teams to build mutual understanding of commercial business performance and balance sheet activity.
- Leading the RTR BPO Europe team to ensure timely, complete, and accurate close activities.
- Providing training and guidance to offshore teams on evolving policies and changes to business processes.
- Monitoring the performance of the BPO team, including KPI/SLAs and error rates.
- Responsible for the preparation and governance processes of EMEA Statutory Accounts for 14 legal entities.
- Working closely with Group Finance, Group Tax, Group Treasury, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting continuous improvement through elimination, standardisation, and automation.
About you:
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience, preferably with Big 4 audit experience.
- Experience in similar industries (FMCG, Manufacturing, Food & Beverages) is ideal.
- People management experience and ability to work individually.
- Strong understanding of financial control activities and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience managing an offshore/BPO team preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to Mumbai as required.
- Knowledge of JDE, Blackline & HFM is useful.
