This role leads in-region Record-to-Report (R2R) operations within a global shared services framework, ensuring rigorous financial control, compliance, and reporting integrity. It oversees the delivery of a high-quality financial close through an offshore team, while partnering closely with the business to challenge assumptions, influence outcomes, and strengthen performance and accountability across the region.

The role provides oversight and governance of audits, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements for multiple legal entities, while driving process efficiency and continuous improvement, with an end-to-end focus across onshore and offshore activities to enable global standardisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes are operating effectively in the region.
  • Validate the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, governance requirements, and reporting prepared by the TBS onshore and offshore team.
  • Perform regular balance sheet reviews to ensure the accuracy and proper classification of account balances.
  • Identify, escalate, and support mitigation of financial risks related to the balance sheet, reporting, journals, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure global accounting policies across entities are consistently applied and adhered to.
  • Lead the RTR BPO Europe team to ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities are timely, complete, and accurate.
  • Provide training and guidance to offshore teams on evolving policies, controls, and changes to business processes.
  • Monitor the performance of the BPO team, including KPI/SLAs and error rates relating to offshore delivery responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the preparation of, planning, governance processes, and engagement with external accounting providers and auditors to ensure the timely and accurate completion of Statutory Accounts for 14 legal entities.
  • Work closely with Global R2R Leaders to ensure all accounting activities across the RTR process are executed effectively and efficiently.

About You:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience; Big 4 audit experience is preferred.
  • Experience in similar industry (FMCG, Manufacturing, Food & Beverages) ideal.
  • People management experience, as well as an ability to work individually.
  • Strong understanding and proven experience in financial control activities and delivery of statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience managing an offshore/BPO team preferred.
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate with others across global Finance teams.
  • Very good analytical skills and strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Knowledge of JDE, Blackline & HFM useful.
