Overview
As a Record-to-Report specialist for Europe, you ensure accurate financial close, governance and regulatory compliance. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality financial outcomes and support audit readiness and continuous improvement. This role focuses on Europe RTR activities, statutory reporting and coordinating audits, with opportunities to drive process simplification and automation. You will work in a global finance environment that values collaboration, growth, and delivering tangible business impact. Responsibilities
- Coordinate Europe Record-to-Report activities to ensure timely and accurate close
- Support month-end close, including journal and reconciliation reviews (accruals, fees, interest, deemed sales)
- Analyse month-end results and balance sheet movements to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with AP, AR, and Customer Service to complete accounting activities
- Investigate and resolve accounting and reporting issues to maintain accuracy
- Partner with Commercial Finance, Supply Chain, Group Finance and Shared Services to resolve issues
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives
- Support statutory financial statements and reporting for Europe entities
- Analyse statutory impacts, coordinate audit requests, and prepare audit schedules
- Participate in internal and external audits and implement agreed actions
- Support regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., ONS surveys, Payment Times Reporting)
- Leverage ERP systems, reporting tools and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Support continuous improvement and digital/AI-enabled improvements where practical
- Monitor compliance controls and document findings; identify remediation opportunities
Key requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, CPA/CA or equivalent
- 3+ years in financial accounting, statutory reporting or audit in multinational environments
- Experience supporting statutory audits, regulatory compliance and financial close
- Big 4 or top 10 firm experience preferred
- Experience working with Shared Services and offshore teams
