Looking for someone organised, comfortable with basic spreadsheets, and happy to support a local community charity. Some bookkeeping or accounting experience would be helpful, but not essential.
- Simple income/expenditure bookkeeping
- Monthly balance updates
- Preparing end of year accounts [Nov-Oct] for our AGM
- Managing standing orders/direct debits
- Paying small bills [insurance, electricity, alarm servicing, council tax, website etc.]
- Occasional visits to the bank
- Filing our annual Charities Commission return [straightforward]
- Attending monthly committee meetings
- Managing petty cash and floats for local events
- Working with our friendly committee and local supporters.

About the organisation: Stalham Firehouse, our small local heritage charity, is looking for a part-time volunteer Treasurer to join the team. This is a vital role that helps us preserve the Firehouse, manage its small annual costs, and keep things running smoothly. Our finances are simple and steady – we always maintain around three years’ running costs in the bank, and we are in a healthy position thanks to past grants.
