This is a full-time role for a Part Qualified/QBE Practice Accountant, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne with some flexibility for remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounts for various clients.
  • Handle VAT returns and Making Tax Digital, using software such as Sage, Xero, and Quickbooks.
  • Complete corporation tax computations.
  • Prepare self-assessment tax returns and assist with client queries.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, liaise with team members, and support the directors.
  • Engage in career progression within the practice.

Qualifications

  • Experience in accounts preparation, corporation tax computations, and VAT returns.
  • Ability to manage client communications and queries with confidence and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in working within practice accounting; Qualified By Experience (QBE) or part-qualified in ACCA/ACA/AAT.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations is essential.
