This is a full‑time role for a Part Qualified/QBE Practice Accountant, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne with some flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounts for various clients.
- Handle VAT returns and Making Tax Digital, using software such as Sage, Xero, and Quickbooks.
- Complete corporation tax computations.
- Prepare self‑assessment tax returns and assist with client queries.
- Maintain strong client relationships, liaise with team members, and support the directors.
- Engage in career progression within the practice.
Qualifications:
- Experience in accounts preparation, corporation tax computations, and VAT returns.
- Ability to manage client communications and queries with confidence and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in working within practice accounting; Qualified By Experience (QBE) or part‑qualified in ACCA/ACA/AAT.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations is essential.
