The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in the Swansea area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 tonne drivers to join the team.

- Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:30am till 18:00pm
- Pay Rate: £16.05 per hour

- Job Type: Temp to perm
The role
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne delivery vehicle to make scheduled deliveries and collections for customers.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to complete around 10 drops/collections per day, considering traffic, road conditions, and time constraints.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages onto and from the delivery vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers during deliveries and collections.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage and ensure accurate delivery.
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital documentation for each delivery and collection accurately and promptly.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic and safety regulations, including securing loads and wearing appropriate safety gear.
- Communicate effectively with despatch, supervisors, and customers to provide updates on delivery progress and potential delays.
Requirements
- Have a valid 7.5 tonne licence (Category C1).
- Have a valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Minimum 1 year experience on 7.5 T.
- Have the ability to handle physical tasks, such as manual handling of heavy parcels.
- Have excellent communication skills to liaise with the transport team.
- Have strong familiarity with local routes and areas.
- Be hard-working, reliable and flexible for hours.
