The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Manchester area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
Details
- Hours: Monday to Sunday - up to 5/6 shifts a week (weekends included) on a rota basis.
- Pay Rate:
- Days - Β£19.00 per hour PAYE
- Nights - Β£20.50 per hour PAYE
The role
- Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
- Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
- Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
