The predicted salary is between 13 - 13 £ per hour.
We are currently hiring a Materials Movement Operative to join a leading manufacturer.
You will be in a busy manufacturing environment, coordinating the delivery of required materials to finalise production orders, moving and storing the right amounts of materials, goods and products in the right location to feed the business’s operational and customer demand.

You will act as a liaison between various departments, and plan, coordinate, action and monitor the receipt, storage and despatch of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets operational timescales and requirements.
- Control WIP (work in process) order and picking for operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
- Booking stock in and out
- Carry out stock takes and keeping accurate records
- Receiving stock and ensure materials are stored correctly.
- Using an FLT when required.
- Moving materials to production teams when they're needed.
- Maintaining stock accuracy within the warehouse management system.
- Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows.
- Lead, follow up and resolve customer concerns.
- Identify and resolve stock or delivery issues before they affect production.
- Record shortages in stock and comminate them to the relevant Managers.
- Ensure 5S housekeeping standards are always maintained.
Requirements
- Reliability and good communication skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, SAGE and TRELLO
- Valid counterbalance forklift license.
- Team player with experience of working within a factory setting would be an advantage
- Someone with previous experience in a similar role such as Materials Controller, Stock Controller, Inventory Controller or Coordinator would be ideally suited to this role.
