Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and family-run food distribution business based in Sherburn in Elmet. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Driver to join the team on a permanent basis.

Location: Sherburn in Elmet, LS25

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Pay Details: £34,700 per annum. Overtime paid at time and a half (daily).

Shift Pattern & Start Times: Monday to Friday 05:30 start, 45-hour working week, No weekend work.

The Role:

  • Multi-drop deliveries to bakeries, butchers and farm shops across the North of England.
  • Operating Class 2 vehicles within a food distribution environment.
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with legal requirements.
  • Cross-checking deliveries, including temperature checks where required.
  • Managing returns and completing relevant paperwork.
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
  • Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (CAT C) licence, held for at least 2 years.
  • Valid CPC and Digi Card.
  • Previous multi-drop experience preferred.
  • Maximum 6 points for minor offences only.
  • Good understanding of driver hours and regulations.
  • Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work.
  • Food distribution or refrigeration experience advantageous but not essential.
