The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Plymouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Shifts: 40 hours a week across Monday to Sunday, working 5 out of 7 days a week (including 1 day on a weekend).

Hours: Twilight- 14:00pm-16:00pm start times (finish time around 00:00am).

Pay Rate: Twilight- £14.60 per hour PAYE.

Location: Plymouth, PL6.

Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent.

The role:

  • Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
  • Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
  • Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
