The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Nottingham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.
Shifts:
- Shifts across Monday to Sunday (weekends included on a rota basis)
- Class 1 Night Trunker
- Class 1 Day & Night Driver
Hours:
- Monday to Friday (occasional Sunday shift)
- 9-10 hour long shifts
- Days - 09:00 - 10:00am start time
- Nights - 18:00 - 22:00pm start time
Pay Rate:
- Days - Monday to Friday - £16.00 per hour PAYE
- Nights - Monday to Friday - £17.00 per hour PAYE rising to £17.50 after 12 weeks
- Days & Nights - Sunday - £21.50 per hour PAYE
- Bank Holiday Days - £21.50 per hour PAYE rising to £32.00 after 12 weeks
- Bank Holiday Nights - £21.50 per hour PAYE rising to £34.50 after 12 weeks
Location: Nottingham, NG6
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
- Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance, weekends included and required
- Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units.
- Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.
- Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
- Minimum of 6 months experience required.
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
