We are currently seeking Manufacturing Operatives for the Roller Department to join a leading manufacturer.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm

Rate: £12.71

Type: Temp ongoing

Location: Lye, DY9

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grooving, Tapering, Lagging and Assembly of Roller components in accordance with the drawings and customer specifications.
  • Reporting any defective tooling, jigs, machines and fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
  • Meet or exceed piecework quotas by completing a specific number of units or tasks within a set time frame.
  • Responsibilities are listed in the Quality Control Manual and procedures to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 requirements, which are the inspection, identification, and packaging of company products.
  • Responsibilities as listed in the Health and Safety Policy.
  • Maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
  • Assistance in working in other departments when necessary.
  • Maintaining IHASCO training when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a factory setting or engineering environment.
  • Reliability and good communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
