We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected home care provider seeking an experienced and quality-driven Registered Manager to lead their Kensington service. This is an exceptional opportunity for a committed care leader to shape a high-performing, person-centred service in one of London’s most prestigious regions.
The Role: As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for driving excellence across all areas of the service—quality, compliance, team leadership, client experience and operational efficiency. You will promote a culture where safety, dignity and person-centred care are paramount, ensuring the service consistently meets or exceeds CQC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality, Compliance & Operational Excellence: Ensure full adherence to CQC regulations, legislation and internal standards, aiming for Good or Outstanding ratings. Lead continuous quality improvements, audits, spot checks and governance reviews. Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and oversee safeguarding investigations and reporting. Maintain robust care planning, risk assessments and digital record-keeping. Oversee clinical governance areas, including medication management and complex care needs. Build strong working relationships with NHS professionals, GPs, district nurses and local authorities. Ensure infection control measures and safe working practices are consistently upheld. Manage complaints professionally with a focus on learning and service improvement.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead values-based recruitment, rigorous vetting and onboarding of care staff. Deliver and oversee high-quality induction and ongoing training that exceeds statutory requirements. Conduct regular staff supervisions, appraisals and professional development planning. Cultivate a supportive, positive culture where staff wellbeing and quality care thrive. Support and guide Care Coordinators, Senior Carers, Carers and office staff.
- Client Experience & Service Growth: Ensure timely response to enquiries and seamless onboarding of new clients. Monitor rotas to ensure appropriate skill mix and continuity of care. Champion digital care planning and technology to enhance service delivery. Support KPI tracking and continuous service development initiatives.
- Financial & Business Support: Monitor staff hours, travel time and resource allocation with the coordination team. Support fee negotiations with commissioners where required. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, referral partners and community organisations.
- On-Call: Participate in a shared on-call rota (paid allowance provided).
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or Level 4 with willingness to complete Level 5 within 12 months)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in domiciliary care.
- Demonstrated success in maintaining or improving CQC ratings.
- Must live locally to Kensington, Chelsea or Westminster.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
