Job description: The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Swindon area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
New Pass Welcome
Roles:
- HGV Class 2 nights – Sunday to Saturday, 5 out of 7 shifts a week (weekends included)
Hours:
- Nights – 22:00pm – 23:59pm
Pay Rate:
- Nights – £15.41 per hour PAYE rising to £16.11
Location: Swindon, SN3
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
- Delivering palletized parcels to sub depots and delivery units & conducting collections.
- Using tail lift/pump truck to handle pallets at sub depots.
- Ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
- Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle.
- Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient operations.
- Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
