The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Birmingham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
Hours:
- Trunking - Monday to Friday (21:00 start)
- Linehaul - Saturday (2:00 start)
Pay Rate:
- Class 1 Trunking - £15.36 per hour PAYE
- Linehaul - £17.75 per hour PAYE
Location: Unit 1, First Avenue, Off Forge Lane, Minworth, Birmingham B76 1BA
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
- Class 1 Shunter: Performing shunting in the yard (competent at reversing). You will also be required to collect freight for the Inverness route.
- Class 1 Linehaul: Trunking a local route covering Redditch and Coventry hub and Birmingham Depot (18:30 start). Linehaul route to Carlisle (2:00 start).
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- 6 months minimum experience required.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
