HGV Class 1 Driver

Overview

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Bristol area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Hours and Pay

Hours: Monday to Sunday – up to 5/6 shifts a week (weekends included) on a rota basis.

• Days – £15.36 per hour PAYE.
• Nights – £15.36 per hour PAYE.

Location and Job Type

Location: Building 6020, Western Approach, Severn Beach, Bristol, BS35 4GG.

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role

Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck. Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
