The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Crawley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Job Details

  • Open position for HGV Drivers.

Shift Patterns

  • Part‑time – Sunday 4 am start, Monday and Tuesday 10 am–14:00 pm starts.
  • Full‑time – shifts between Sunday and Saturday, 10 am–14:00 pm starts.

Pay Rate

  • Class 2 – Days £15.56 per hour PAYE.
  • Class 1 – Days £16.50 per hour PAYE.

  • Crawley RH10

Job Type

  • Ongoing with opportunity for permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Securely move palletised parcels to couriers or collect them from delivery units.
  • Handle runs with 1–2 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vehicle using tail lift and pump truck.
  • Interact with customers, representing company professionally and courteously.

Requirements

  • Experience preferred; new passes welcome.
  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (Cat C).
  • Valid and up‑to‑date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Prepared to undertake short driving assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Safety‑first mindset.
