The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting experienced Shunter Drivers to join our team in Coventry CV8. We are currently looking for PM ad-hoc Shunters for Mondays and full-time Shunters to work Monday to Friday nights. Assessments Available ASAP!
Hours:
- PM Ad-Hoc Shunters: Mondays only, Start times between 19:00 and 22:00
- Full-Time Shunters: Monday to Friday, 22:00 to 06:00
Pay Rates:
- £18.50 between 06:00–22:00
- £20.00 between 22:00–06:00
- £25.00 weekend rate
Location: Coventry, CV8
The Role:
- Shunting trailers within the yard – 40–100 moves per shift.
- Yard manoeuvring and reversing with confidence and accuracy.
- Communicating effectively with transport and logistics teams.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 months’ shunting driving experience.
- Full UK Class 1 licence (C+E).
- Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
- Successful completion of assessment (theory and practical).
- Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
