HGV Drivers Wanted – Warrington (WA5) Class 1 / Shunters / Class 2
Rolled-Up Holiday Pay | Ongoing, Reliable Work | Flexible Shifts
The Recruitment Crowd (TRC) is expanding our driving team in Warrington and we are now recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers, Shunters, and Class 2 Drivers for long-term, dependable work with an industry-leading transport client. Whether you're newly qualified or highly experienced, we have ongoing shifts to suit your availability.
From 23rd November to 20th December, a £2 uplift applies to all pay rates listed below.
Shifts Available:
- Mornings, afternoons, or nights for Class 1 trunking roles
- Nights only for Class 1 shunter positions
- Multiple shift patterns available for Class 2
- Work available seven days a week
- Consistent, ongoing work year-round
Class 1 Driver (Primary Role)
Pay Rates (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
- AM: Mon–Thu: £16.81, Fri: £17.37, Sat: £17.93, Sun: £18.22
- PM: Mon–Thu: £17.37, Fri: £17.93, Sat: £18.49, Sun: £19.05
- Nights: Mon–Thu: £18.01, Fri: £19.05, Sat: £19.61, Sun: £19.95
Role Overview:
- Trunking between depots with a focus on safe, timely deliveries
- Yard reversing and manoeuvring
- Pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
- Clear communication with dispatch teams
- Following all traffic laws and maintaining high safety standards
Requirements:
- Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph
- Up to 6 points for minor offences
- Theory and practical site assessment
- Understanding of WTD regulations
- New-pass drivers accepted, with training provided
Class 1 Shunter Drivers
Pay Rates:
- Mon–Thu: £18.40
- Fri–Sun: £22.62
Role Overview:
- Moving trailers safely around a busy yard
- Precise reversing and manoeuvring
- Pre- and post-shift checks
- Working closely with yard and dispatch teams
- Light yard duties when required
Class 2 Drivers (Additional Opportunities)
Pay Rate: £14.85 per hour (rolled-up holiday pay)
Role Overview:
- Depot-to-depot trunking and parcel deliveries
- Collections using a tail lift and pump truck
- Occasional cage movement
- Yard manoeuvring
- Daily vehicle checks
General Requirements (All Roles):
- Valid licence for the role (C+E or C)
- DCPC and Digital Tachograph
- No more than 6 points (minor offences only)
- Successful theory and practical assessment
- Good understanding of WTD rules
- Strong communication skills and a safety-first approach
