TIG Fabricator β Backshift We are currently hiring Fabricators for an industry leader in UKβs Building Services sector, specialising in the manufacture of offsite-prefabricated building service solutions for projects throughout the UK & Europe. Hours: Monday-Thursday 16:45-03:45 (40 hours) Rate/Salary: Competitive rates DOE Location: Craigavon Job Summary To work from shop drawings to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements to support the Welding Team. The ability to produce TIG of welds for assembly purposes would be required with the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their skills to numerous welding disciplines and in house welding procedures. Key Responsibilities * Take direction from Site Supervisor on work requirements. * Read and fully understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project. * Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm β 500mm) from shop drawings. * Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard. * Liaise regularly with Quality Control regarding any defects and any non-conformances. * Complete Cross Training in various welding activities, so cover can be provided when absences occur in the Welding Department. * Ensure Company H&S Processes followed. * Ensuring allocated work progresses in a timely manner and in accordance with workload and specifications. * Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity. * To undertake training in line with company standards. * To operate TIG welding equipment * Use precision measurement instruments. * Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment * Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling. * Clean tools, equipment, and work areas * Set an example to all personnel when on site. * Any other duties deemed necessary by management. Requirements: Essential: * Minimum of 3 yearsβ operating as an established experienced TIG fabricator, that includes Pipe Fabrication. * The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements. * Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders, Hand Plasmas etc. * Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings Desirable: * Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA. * Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment Benefits As a valued member of the team, you will benefit from full in-house training and career development opportunities, a competitive pension scheme, and life assurance.
