IT Systems Engineer £38,000 Our Client are a leading British Manufacturer within the Materials Handling sector. Currently recruiting for an IT Systems Engineer. Hours of work: 7.00am to 4:00pm (30 Minutes lunch) Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 1.00pm on Fridays. Primary Location: Stourport The Role: * Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and network infrastructure * Provide technical support to users across the organisation * Monitor system performance and resolve hardware, software, and network issues * Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 environments * Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V * Assist with cybersecurity measures including patching, antivirus, backups, and access controls * Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, and support procedures * Support cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure environments * Work with external suppliers and vendors where required * Participate in IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and system deployments * Adhering to all relevant ISO processes and policies * The role also includes a number of other smaller administrative and coordination tasks The Candidate: * Previous experience in an IT Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role Strong knowledge of: * Windows Server environments * Active Directory & Group Policy * Microsoft 365 administration * Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, VPNs) * Virtualisation technologies * Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions * Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills * Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently * Strong work ethic * Use of initiative * Azure or AWS cloud experience * Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices * PowerShell scripting knowledge * Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco * Experience of Sage 200 would be desirable * Experience of working within a factory setting would be an advantage If this role sounds of interest, then please contact Kate Shorthouse at TRC and apply via this advertisement with your CV
