We are currently hiring a Stores Operative to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy manufacturing environment, responsible for the effective supply of stock from the stores to the relevant departments whilst maintaining effective stock control.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm
Rate: £12.71
Type: Temp to perm
Location: Stourport on Severn, DY13
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and distribute stock as required to meet business needs.
- Maintain stock control, including correct storage and locations, updating all records as required.
- Undertake regular stock counts.
- Ensure all procedures are followed in the completion of required tasks.
- Report any discrepancies to the correct department.
- Ensure a safe working environment and culture.
- Assist in working for other departments when necessary.
- Maintain housekeeping of work area.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- Reliability and good communication skills.
- Valid counterbalance forklift license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
