The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and family-run food distribution business based in Sherburn in Elmet. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Driver to join the team on a permanent basis.

Location: Sherburn in Elmet, LS25

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Pay Details:

  • £34,700 per annum
  • Overtime paid at time and a half (daily)

Shift Pattern & Start Times:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 05:30 start
  • 45-hour working week
  • No weekend work

The Role:

  • Multi-drop deliveries to bakeries, butchers and farm shops across the North of England
  • Operating Class 2 vehicles within a food distribution environment
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with legal requirements
  • Cross-checking deliveries, including temperature checks where required
  • Managing returns and completing relevant paperwork
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
  • Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (CAT C) licence, held for at least 2 years
  • Valid CPC and Digi Card
  • Previous multi-drop experience preferred
  • Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
  • Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
  • Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
