The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Nottingham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.
Shifts: Monday to Sunday (weekends on a rota basis)
Hours: Days and nights
Pay Rate:
- Days – Monday to Friday: £16.00 per hour PAYE
- Days – Monday to Friday (after 12 weeks): £17.00 per hour PAYE rising to £17.50
- Days & Nights – Saturday: £18.50 per hour PAYE
- Days & Nights – Sunday: £21.50 per hour PAYE
- Bank Holiday Days: £21.50 per hour PAYE rising to £32.00 after 12 weeks
- Bank Holiday Nights: £21.50 per hour PAYE rising to £34.50 after 12 weeks
Location: Nottingham, NG6
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
- Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance, weekends included and required
- Securely moving and transporting premium and high-value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units
- Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift
- Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E)
- Minimum of 6 months experience required
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
- Full understanding of WTD legislation
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position
- Excellent communication skills
