Stainless Steel Fabricator We are currently hiring Steel Fabricators for an industry leader in UK’s Building Services sector, specialising in the manufacture of offsite-prefabricated building service solutions for projects throughout the UK & Europe. Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00 (44 hours) Rate/Salary: Competitive rates DOE Location: Craigavon Job Summary You will be required to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements from work from shop drawings. This opportunity has the potential for successful candidates to develop and retain further skills. Key Responsibilities * Take direction from Site Supervisor on work requirements. * Read and fully understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project. * Fabricate and weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically stainless steel ranging from 65mm – 500mm) from shop drawings. * Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard. * Liaise regularly with Quality Control regarding any defects and any non-conformances. * Complete Cross Training in various welding activities, so cover can be provided when absences occur in the Welding Department. * Ensure Company H&S Processes followed. * Ensuring allocated work progresses in a timely manner and in accordance with workload and specifications. * To undertake training in line with company standards. * To operate TIG welding equipment. * Use precision measurement instruments. * Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment * Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling. * Clean tools, equipment, and work areas * Set an example to all personnel when on site. * Any other duties deemed necessary by management. Requirements: Essential: * Minimum of 3 years’ operating as an established experienced fabricator welder, in Pipe Fabrication. * The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements. * Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders, Hand Plasmas etc. * Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings * Ability to maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity. Desirable: * Previous experience as a pipe fabricator / Welder, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with TIG. * Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment Benefits As a valued member of the team, you will benefit from full in-house training and career development opportunities, a competitive pension scheme, and life assurance.
