Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire

Salary: Up to GBP30,000 per year

Reporting to: Registered Area Manager

This role is ideal for someone with experience in health and social care within a supervisory position, preferably within learning disabilities or Autism. The purpose of the role is to ensure that assessed care, developmental, and support needs are fully implemented. Develop positive relationships with everyone involved and create a homely, welcoming environment for the people supported. Work proactively to help individuals gain independence by acquiring daily living skills, achieving their goals, and matching team members' expertise to their needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Running monthly support sessions
  • Conducting monthly team meetings
  • Providing required staff training
  • Completing staff rotas
  • Managing staff annual leave
  • Completing monthly audits (medical, financial)
  • Coaching and role modelling
  • Overseeing staff development
  • Ensuring environments meet high standards
  • Supporting individuals to lead active and meaningful lives
  • Maintaining compliance standards
  • Building strong relationships with families and professionals
  • Working as a senior team member within the York District
  • Reporting safeguarding concerns and incidents

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license and own car
  • Ability to travel for training, including occasional overnight stays
  • Ideally, Level 5 in Health & Social Care or willingness to complete it
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification

The Services:

  • Staff team of 16
  • Service 1: Support for 4 gentlemen with varying needs, including complex needs and independence
  • Service 2: Single occupancy homes for 2 women
