As part of their expansion, they are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team lead on the design and implementation of cutting-edge low-carbon mechanical systems.

The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of mechanical building services designs. Your focus will be on integrating air source heat pumps and supporting decarbonisation strategies across a variety of projects. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical leadership, ensure compliance, and deliver high-performance, sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, hot and cold water, and low-carbon technologies.
  • Develop detailed specifications and technical drawings for systems incorporating air source heat pumps.
  • Play a key role in the planning and execution of decarbonisation schemes.
  • Carry out technical assessments and feasibility studies for energy-efficient solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Ensure compliance with current UK building regulations and sustainability standards.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Requirements
