The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Tonbridge area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers to join the team.
Shifts: Typically Monday to Friday
Hours: 18:00pm start
Pay Rate: £18.25 per hour PAYE
Location: Tonbridge, TN12
Job Type: Ongoing
The role:
- Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units.
- Multi-drop delivery - average of 15-20 drops/collections.
- Drivers will be required to load and unload the roll cages using tail lift and pump truck.
- Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- 6 months minimum experience required.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
