Job Type: Long-term ongoing (Part Time)

Shift Pattern: We are currently looking for reliable part time HGV Class 1 drivers who are available to work Monday and Friday.

Start time windows:

  • 11:00 – 15:00
  • 19:00 – Midnight
  • Midnight – 03:00

Average shift length: 10–12 hours (guaranteed 8 hours)

Pay Rates:

  • Weeks 1–12 (Including Rolled Up Holiday Pay)
    • Day Shift: £19.88
    • Night Shift: £20.16
    • Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): £20.16
  • 13+ Weeks (Including Rolled Up Holiday Pay)
    • Day Shift: £20.16
    • Night Shift: £20.73
    • 6th Day: £30.28
    • 6th Night: £31.13
    • Bank Holiday Day: £40.38
    • Bank Holiday Night: £41.52

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels containing high-value goods.
  • Collecting high-value goods from well-known customers, including full trailer collections, drop and swap operations.
  • Occasional handling of push roller cages as required.
  • Carrying out precise reversing and manoeuvring in yards, including shunting duties when required.
  • Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Adhering to traffic laws, regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 (C+E) entitlement.
  • Availability to work Monday and Friday.
  • Flexibility with start times from the available windows above.
  • Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Maximum of 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Successful completion of assessment (theory & practical).
  • Understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
