The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Bristol area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Sunday - up to 5/6 shifts a week (weekends included) on a rota basis.

Pay Rate: Days - £15.36 per hour PAYE, Nights - £15.36 per hour PAYE

Location: Basildon, Essex, SS14 3DW

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

  • Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
  • Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
