The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known and established general haulage business based in Alfreton. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join the team.
Location: Alfreton, DE55
Job Type: Ongoing
Pay Rates:
- Class 1 (C+E):
- £15.40 per hour (PAYE)
- £17.26 per hour (including rolled up holiday pay)
Additional Payments:
- £25 Night Out Allowance (applicable to all drivers completing nights out / tramping)
Shift Patterns & Start Times:
- Start times available from 03:00 onwards
- Day work available
- Optional nights out / tramping (completely flexible and driver choice)
- Full-time and part-time work available
- Work planned around driver availability and personal circumstances
The Role:
- General haulage work across commercial and residential deliveries
- Operating curtainsider vehicles
- Vehicles are pre-loaded on arrival to site
- Assisting with offloading where required
- Minimal handball involved overall
- Occasional use of pallet truck and tail lift
- Nationwide deliveries and collections
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 1 year driving experience required
- Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
