The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Nottingham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team. New Pass Welcome!
Shifts: Shifts run across Monday to Sunday
Hours: Start time: 22:00pm - 23:59pm
Pay Rate: Nights - £16.35 per hour
Location: Nottingham- NG16 3UA
Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent
The role:
- Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
- Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
- Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
- Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
