Class 2 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Motherwell area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team. Hours: Monday to Friday Days – Tuesday through to Saturday 05:00am starts Nights – Between Sunday to Friday 22:00pm starts (every 2 weeks working 6 days) Pay Rate: Days – £13.36 per hour PAYE (rising to £14.11 after 12 weeks) Nights – £14.38 per hour PAYE (rising to £15.08 after 12 weeks) Location: Motherwell, ML1 Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate The role: · Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. · Handling runs with 4-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. · Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle. · Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. Requirements: · Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C). · Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. · No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). · Full understanding of WTD legislation. · Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. · Excellent communication skills. · A safety-first mindset.
