Carbon Steel Fabricator We are currently hiring Steel Fabricators for an industry leader in UKβs Building Services sector, specialising in the manufacture of offsite-prefabricated building service solutions for projects throughout the UK & Europe. Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00 (44 hours) Rate: Competitive rates DOE Location: Craigavon Job Summary To fabricate a range of pipe arrangements that will support a team of skilled Welders. The ability to produce some or all types of welds, i.e., TIG, MMA and MAG for assembly purposes would be required with the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their skills to numerous welding disciplines and in house welding procedures. Key Responsibilities * Take direction from Site Supervisor on work requirements. * Read and fully understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project. * Fabricate and weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel ranging from 65mm β 150mm) from shop drawings. * Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard. * Liaise regularly with Quality Control regarding any defects and any non-conformances. * Complete Cross Training in various welding activities, so cover can be provided when absences occur in the Welding Department. * Ensure Company H&S Processes followed. * Ensuring allocated work progresses in a timely manner and in accordance with workload and specifications. * To undertake training in line with company standards. * To operate MIG/TIG or MMA welding equipment * Use precision measurement instruments. * Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment * Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling. * Clean tools, equipment, and work areas * Set an example to all personnel when on site. * Any other duties deemed necessary by management. Requirements: Essential: * Minimum of 3 yearsβ operating as an established experienced fabricator welder in Pipe Fabrication and Welding. * The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements. * Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders, Hand Plasmas etc. * Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings * Ability to maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity.
