We are currently hiring MIG/TIG Welders to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for performing high‑quality welds, using MIG and TIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm; Friday 7am-1pm
Rate: £15.19
Type: Temp ongoing
Location: Lye, DY9
Responsibilities:
- Execute precise MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including mild and hard steel.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently.
- Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Responsible for the completion of a wide range of fabrications to meet powder coating schedules and production requirements.
- Welding mild and hard steel ranging from 2.5mm to 20mm.
- Ensure tooling, jigs and fixtures are fit for purpose and meet production requirements to produce components to the required standard.
- Maintain housekeeping of work area.
- Adhere to responsibilities outlined in the Quality Control Manual and procedures to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
Requirements:
- Reliability and good communication skills.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Experienced MIG/TIG Welder.
- Confidence carrying out fillet welds on various types of steel and tube.
- Ability to read technical drawings (training will be provided).
- IT literacy.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
