The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Birmingham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team. Induction / assessment is required for this role prior to starting – 6 am for induction.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30 am
Pay Rate: £18.19 per hour PAYE
Location: Birmingham, B6 7AX
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The Role:
- Double-manned.
- Multi-drop delivering alcohol to bars / restaurants within the local area.
- Around 10-15 drops per day.
- Ensure customer orders are secured and packaged correctly for delivery prior to departure.
- Inform the customer of any order delays, stock shortages or problems.
- Assist with the unloading of customer orders from the vehicle to the customer premises.
- Collect empty kegs / pallets and returns – when back at the depot ensure they are handled and stored correctly within the warehouse or yard.
- Complete all paperwork / EPOD tasks and any administration tasks; liaise with Transport Management regarding vehicle issues / delays.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
- 1 year experience on Class 2.
- Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
