Are you naturally welcoming, highly organised and passionate about creating an exceptional customer experience? We’re working with a growing, design-led flexible workspace operator to recruit Front-of-House Receptionists for its premium Central London locations. This is much more than sitting behind a reception desk. You’ll be at the heart of the building; welcoming members and guests, building relationships with the businesses based there and ensuring the workspace runs smoothly throughout the day.

The role

As the first person customers and visitors meet, you’ll set the tone for their entire experience. You’ll combine polished front-of-house service with practical day-to-day support, taking ownership of the reception area and helping create a workplace people genuinely enjoy coming to.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a warm, professional welcome to members, guests and prospective customers
  • Managing reception enquiries in person, by telephone and via email
  • Building positive relationships with customers across the workspace
  • Managing meeting-room bookings and ensuring rooms are presented to a high standard
  • Coordinating visitor access, post, deliveries and couriers
  • Keeping reception, lounge and shared areas welcoming and well presented
  • Supporting member communications, community initiatives and events
  • Responding quickly and calmly to customer queries or issues
  • Liaising with cleaning, maintenance and building-management teams
  • Reporting facilities issues and following them through to resolution
  • Supporting new customers as they move into the building
  • Identifying opportunities to promote meeting rooms and other workspace services
  • Providing wider administrative and operational support when required

About you

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in the details that shape a great customer experience. You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in reception, front of house, hospitality, customer service or flexible workspace
  • A confident, warm and professional communication style
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to build rapport with a wide variety of people
  • Confidence managing several priorities in a busy environment
  • A proactive approach; you notice what needs doing and take ownership of it
  • Strong written communication and basic administrative skills
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach to customer queries
  • A genuine interest in creating a welcoming workplace community
  • Experience within flexible workspace, serviced offices, hotels, members’ clubs or premium hospitality would be advantageous, but attitude and service style are equally important.

Why apply?

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious independent workspace business where customer experience is central to the brand. You’ll work in a beautifully designed environment, build lasting relationships with a diverse community of businesses and have the opportunity to make a visible impact on the day-to-day experience of the building. If you’re polished, personable and ready to take ownership of a front-of-house experience, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today with your CV.
