The Recruitment Crowd is expanding and we are recruiting Residential Support Worker to join our temporary agency workforce, supporting a wide range of clients around the Northeast (various locations) in healthcare settings.

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated and reliable Residential Support Worker to join our friendly team. You will support residents to live safe, fulfilling and independent lives while providing high-quality, person-centred care and support. You will build positive relationships with residents, encourage independence, and help them achieve their personal goals in a safe and supportive residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and emotional support to residents.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, medication support and household tasks where required.
  • Encourage residents to develop independence and make their own choices.
  • Develop positive and trusting relationships with residents, families and professionals.
  • Follow individual care and support plans and contribute to reviews.
  • Promote safeguarding and report any concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete relevant documentation.
  • Support residents with challenging or distressed behaviour using positive and appropriate approaches.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Previous experience in residential care, social care or support work is essential.

Qualifications

  • Healthcare or Care qualification, such as Care Certificate, Level 2/3 Health and Social Care, or equivalent, is desirable.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
