You will be part of the Operations team that demonstrates a high level of technical ability, delivering mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
The Operations team maintains Trayport’s core application platforms, both on-premise and cloud along with having deployment, maintenance and observability responsibilities for several of them.
The role will involve delivering and supporting projects and BAU work streams.
The team works closely with the Development team and customer-facing support teams.
You will be part of the Operations team that demonstrates a high level of technical ability, delivering mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
The Operations team maintains Trayport’s core application platforms, both on-premise and cloud along with having deployment, maintenance and observability responsibilities for several of them.
The role will involve delivering and supporting projects and BAU work streams.
The team works closely with the Development team and customer-facing support teams.
Responsibilities Maintenance and monitoring of existing on premise infrastructure.
Support client facing teams with provisioning of new client infrastructure, upgrades and troubleshooting.
Use Infrastructure as Code to provision new resources and infrastructure.
Work closely with Information Security to remediate risks and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
Undertake BAU systems administration tasks and processes using automation such as Powershell Support development teams with deployment and maintenance of business critical client facing applications.
Support wider project goals relating to key business objectives.
The Person Technical
Essential: Infrastructure and OS background, Windows & Linux.
Powershell knowledge.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code/Automation concepts.
Knowledge of Virtualisation.
Understanding of Microsoft SQL principles.
Ability to troubleshoot networking issues.
Experience with supporting and troubleshooting applications.
Understanding of GIT, code reviews etc.
Desirable: Containerisation knowledge.
Cloud awareness in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Exposure to observability tooling.
Non-technical Basic knowledge of Agile frameworks.
Knowledge of Dev Ops methodologies.
Be able to work in a multi talented team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of ITIL framework.
Out of hours work is required.
