As a Delivery Manager, you will take on a strategic leadership role, overseeing the delivery of large-scale programmes of work that are critical to the company's success. You will not only be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple interconnected projects but will also drive improvements in our delivery processes and mentor other delivery managers. You are a master of agile methodologies and a strategic thinker who can align complex delivery streams with overarching business strategy.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Architect and own and drive the end-to-end delivery plan. Take corrective action when progress towards OKRs is at risk, ensuring the mission stays on track. Continuously refine the delivery framework to remove friction, increase speed, and improve the quality of the engineering output.
- Continuous Delivery Evolution: Build a high-performing culture centered on continuous delivery, innovation, and efficiency. Continuously evaluate and seek improvements across all areas of responsibility to increase the speed and quality of outcome realisation.
- Risk & Dependency Mastery: Actively hunt and eliminate risks. Serve as the authoritative voice on project status, costs, and timelines, providing transparency to leadership.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in agile delivery, with significant experience managing large-scale, complex programmes of work.
- Expert-level knowledge of agile and lean principles, with proven experience in applying and scaling Kanban at a team and programme level.
- Proven experience in a leadership or line management role, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to operate at a strategic level.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing large, multi-million-pound budgets.
- A deep understanding of the energy industry landscape, including regulatory, commercial, and technological trends.
- Experience in managing third-party suppliers and commercial agreements.
- Advanced agile certifications.
