We are a successful Vehicle Repair Centre seeking a skilled and reliable HGV mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles for a range of fleet customers to ensure they remain safe, roadworthy, and compliant with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, brake tests and servicing of HGVs
- Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs
- Perform MOT preparation and ensure vehicles meet legal standards
- Complete all relevant paperwork and service records accurately
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a HGV mechanic or similar role
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of current DVSA standards and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving license (HGV license desirable but not essential)
Hours:
- Mon-Fri: 9am-5pm
- Optional Overtime Available
