Vacancy: Apprentice Teaching Assistant Level 3
Brief Overview: An Apprentice Teaching Assistant is required to join our team to help provide high-quality, creative learning opportunities that support the development of the whole child. The successful apprentice will support the provision of a safe, happy and well-disciplined learning environment, enabling our children to acquire a wide range of knowledge, skills and abilities.
Typical Day and Duties: Under the guidance of teachers, the apprentice will work with children to support their educational, personal and social development. They will build positive relationships and assist with structured learning activities. Duties may include:
- Supporting learning activities
- Producing learning resources
- Assisting in the development of pupils’ skills
- Contributing to pupil progress and development
What Training will the Apprentice get: As part of this role, the successful candidate will work towards completing the Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship standard. The apprentice will receive:
- A full induction programme
- On-the-job training within the school
- Support from a workplace mentor
- Opportunities to complete off-the-job training hours
The successful candidate will also complete initial assessments in Maths and English. Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English must be achieved as part of the apprenticeship if a GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) has not already been obtained.

Closing date: 4pm Monday 22nd June 2026
