Travis Talent is recruiting urgently on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Sheffield for an experienced Finance Controller.

This is a senior, influential role within the site leadership team, suited to a commercially minded finance professional who is confident challenging spend, driving financial discipline, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a strategic and tactical finance partner to site leadership
• Full ownership of month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Managing budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Providing clear, insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
• Challenging costs and spending behaviour across the operation
• Monitoring and explaining variances, identifying risks and opportunities
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting continuous improvement in financial processes and controls

What We\’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong background in cost accounting, standard costing and absorption
• Confident communicator, able to influence non-finance stakeholders
• Commercially astute with the confidence to challenge and question
• Proactive, inquisitive mindset with a drive to improve performance
