Salary: Up to £40K Shift pattern: Days and Afters Permanent position Travis Talent is recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist on behalf of an established manufacturing business in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience of CNC milling and turning to join a supportive engineering team.

Youll be responsible for setting and operating single and multi-axis machinery, producing precision components to specification and contributing to improvements across the manufacturing process.

The Role Reporting to the CNC Machining Team Leader and Production Manager, your responsibilities will include: Setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines.

Operating single and multi-axis CNC machinery.

Producing components in line with production schedules, drawings and product specifications.

Writing, proving and adjusting CNC programs.

Developing manufacturing processes for new products and engineering requirements.

Using handheld measuring equipment to inspect completed components.

Identifying and reporting quality issues or areas of non-conformance.

Accurately completing production and quality documentation.

Working in accordance with quality management and health and safety procedures.

Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised working environment.

Identifying opportunities to improve quality, manufacturing efficiency and production costs.

Sharing knowledge and supporting the training and development of colleagues.

The Candidate Were keen to speak with experienced CNC Machinists who can demonstrate: Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines.

The ability to write and prove CNC programs.

Experience with Fanuc controls would be highly desirable.

Multi-axis or multi-spindle machining experience would be beneficial.

Confidence using handheld measuring and inspection equipment.

Mitutoyo CMM experience would be advantageous.

The ability to work accurately from engineering specifications.

A methodical approach and excellent attention to detail.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

A willingness to develop new skills and share technical knowledge.

A recognised engineering or machining qualification would be advantageous.
